For how many years have you been working out and why?
"I've geuss it's 3 years by now. It all started with a new year revolution, I wanted to lose some weight and become more fit. I started to participate in various team trainings in Fitness World and after some time, I went out in the training area. I started strength training and some cardio on my own. The fact that i could feel a difference on my body - and how much i felt it mentally just caught my attention straight away! All the energy i suddently had! That's actually the reason why I still train. I love what training does to you, to the body itself but definitely also for your mind. Through the past 3 years i've become a more open and confident girl. I take chances now - also in other aspects in life souch as job and education. I've become a better person in to many ways through my training."
Which kind of workout do you practice?
"I practice what many refer as "bodybuilder"-training. I'm doing it so I can develop my muscle - not beacuse i want to become stronger. What fascinates me is how you can shape your body - i keep the aesthetic in my mind."
What’s your favorite workout and why?
"Uh, that's a hard one! I love many of my exercises. If I have to choose one, it would be lateral raises for shoulders. I've ALWAYS done it and i love this exercise in different variationer - and it hurts everytime! ;-)"
What’s the worst workout and why?
"That would be the popular squat. I've never really learned how to master it right and it's not my strong side. After i decided to compete in bikinifitness i haven't trained the front of my thigh in 7-8 month and therefore not squated. I axtually don't mind."
Which body part are you proud of the most and why?
"My shoulders are good at growing - already after a couple of month of strengh training it started showing. Mostly the front of my shoulders which grew out of proportion and later on i've had much more focus on the back of my shoulders - to get it more rounded. I'm pretty proud of those."
Which body part are you not satisfied with and why?
"That's the big question. There will always be someting to improve and someting you're not totaly satisfied with. For me i geuss it's my arms and my stomac. My arms has always been kind of small. I really want to add more, so they can match my shoulders better. My stomac has always been the area i've been least pleased with - like many other women! I can't seem to get the sixpack - my body is simply not build for it! I have some completly other lines in my stomac, which i don't think can be changed. Through time i learned to care for my stomac as it is."
Have you ever competed and what position did you get? Would you do it (again)?
"Yes, I competed in bodyfitness at New Commers 2015, I placed as nr. 9 out of 24 beautiful athletes. I made it trough to DM 2015 where I ended up as nr. 7. I wasn't big enough and my muscles wasn't good enough compared to the other contestants. Because of that I decided to try out Bikinifitness - which I'm attending at new commers 2017. In the 1,5 year of not compeeting I've worked on my muscles, improved my upper body and down toned my legs."
What kind of diet plan are you on and for how many weeks?
"I'm constantly carb cycling. My body fat percentage decides the cycles."
How did it feel like on stage?
"It was an insane experience that I've trouble explaining. All your hard work pays off - it's one big release! I can't wait to do it again!"
Are you getting any help with your workout?
"I have my own coach - Lars Hoe Madsen. I'm a part of his team in2shape. Lars is crazy talented - he has a lot of experience, especially for athletes. His athletes has an rumor of pulling medals home - so i hope that's an reality for me some day ;-) However, he's just a really humble, understanding and motivated coach."
What kind of diet plan are you on?
"I've had dietplans for 2 years now - from 3 different coaches. Right now i'm on a really strict competition diet until the end of may. When i've been on stage i'm getting more calories again!"
Are you taking any supplements?
"Every morning i get multivitamin, D-vitamin, calcium and omega 3. Before bed it's 2 caps of ZMA. During a workout i always drink BCAA and proteinshake afterwards."
Are there any favorite products? Tights, shakers, bars or so?
"My favorite brand in diet supply is definitely Bodylab. I've used those from day one when i started my workout. Fortunately i'm a member of Team Bodylab now - even though i'm not sponsered of them i'm still willing to buy their products. I geuss that says it all. They know how to make things taste good, the prices is reasonable and they have everything i need. For my workout clothes i like Nike, Adidas and Reebok. And actually also H&M! You may be lucky to find very nice workout clothes for a cheap price."
Where do you work out and why?
"I started my workout in Fitness Studiet in Randers after a longtime membership in Fitness World. I work out in Fitness Studiet because of all the positive and motivating people! It creates a really good atmosphere! There are a lot of other athletes who's doing their workout there, and therefore they relate to one another."
When are you satisfied? Or will you ever be?
"I think never being 100% satisfied clearly is one of the motivators in this kind of sport i'm practicing. Not being 100% satisfied is not necessarily a bad thing - i see it as being the reason why i want to put in some extra effort! I've become more satisfired with my body now, than i ever were before, i got more energy and I feel more comfortable. But there's always some thing you can do just a bit better."
How much does your workout mean for you and why?
"Working out means a lot for me and it's also become a part of my identity. It's that time of the day where i lay off some steam. If I'm havning a bad day, exercise ALWAYS helps my mood."
How tall are you and how much do you weigh at the moment?
"I'm 175 cm tall and my current weight is 61 kg. I am, obviously, NOT offseason but under 2 month out from my next competition."
How much time do you use on fitness?
"Now adays where i also got cardio in my program, i use 2 hours 6 days a week. 45 minut cardio and 1 hour - 1½ hour workout and then 1 restday."
Of all the things you have accomplished, during your 'fitness life' - what are you proud of the most?
"Here i gotta say it's my instagram-account and how much it all has grown. I'm very proud of being able to inspire and motivate other people and that SO many people wanna follow my journey. It gives me something every day and it's a huge part of me and i wouldn't miss for the world."
