For how many years have you been working out and why?
"For about a year and a half. I didn't like my body and so I decided to make a change."
Which kind of workout do you practice?
"I do weightraining with light cardio mixed in or built into my workouts by manipulating reps and rest periods."
What’s your favorite workout and why?
"I like training shoulders. I don't have a favorite actual workout, but that and lower body is my favorite areas to train."
What’s the worst workout and why?
"I don't like training abs. I don't think it's the 'worst' workout, but it's my weakest area which makes it my hardest, and I like it least to train."
Which body part are you proud of the most and why?
"I'm probably the most proud of my arms or butt, because it's taken a really long time to build them and my results are starting to show."
Which body part are you not satisfied with and why?
"I wouldn't say there are body parts I'm not satisfied with. I preach loving yourself anyway, at whatever point you are at on your journey. I do see areas where I have an opportunity to improve, but that doesn't mean I like any area less."
Have you ever competed and what position did you get? Would you do it (again)?
"Yes, I have competed. My first was Miami Pro in June 2016 and I didn't place. My second time was Pure Elite, where I entered 4 categories and placed in 3, winning one. My third was The Pure Elite World Championships where I entered one category and came third. I plan on competing again but haven't locked down any future shows at the moment."
How did it feel like on stage?
"It's nerve-racking and exhilarating at the same time. Previously, I cringed at the thought of people even seeing my body- or even seeing myself in the mirror. So if you had told me 2 years ago that I would be PAYING for people to literally judge my body, I would have honestly been in disbelief. I've come so far, and even though I may not have been my best in my precious competitions, it was a great experience."
Are you getting any help with your workout or dietplans?
"Not right now. I've done my own diet and workouts since last June. I had help for 2 weeks right before the pro show in November but it was minimal."
What kind of diet plan are you on and for how many weeks?
"I'm not currently on any diet plan. I try to eat clean, and while I haven't been very good at that lately, when I do have a clean diet, I do it based on an IIFYM type of standpoint, and believe in a healthy balance of everything. I have tried other types of diets during preps for show though."
Are you taking any supplements?
"I take a multivitamin, and sometimes vitamin C and such when I'm competing. I use BCAAs in the morning and during my workouts, and I use protein for shakes or when I don't want to make chicken. I try to eat my calories, but sometimes I'm busy."
Do you have any favorite products? Workout clothes, shakers, protein bars or so? Why and where do you buy them?
"I have a few proteins that I like, but I'm in between sponsors right now, and haven't found a new one that I truly love. For products, the Carb Killa bars by Grenade are amazing, and I buy them on amazon mostly unless the website is having a deal. I also really love the Krush Nutrition protein peanut butter, but they have been out of distribution for a while and said they'll be back soon, which is exciting! For other random food items, I love the Flatout protein wraps, and bagel thins. I also love easy snacks like rice cakes and things I can grab and go! I have a really good and simple kale smoothie recipe that helps me get in my micros and vitamins."
Where do you work out and why?
"I work out at Anytime Fitness because it's close to where I live and it's cheap and I can use my membership anywhere in the world. Some of their locations are better than others, but my home gym is great."
When are you satisfied? Or will you ever be?
"I'm satisfied now. I don't like the idea of having a goal weight or whatever because it promotes the idea to never be satisfied. Yes, I have goals, but I'm constantly reminding myself to be happy where I am, because otherwise it wouldn't be healthy."
How much does your workout mean for you and why?
"Working out makes me feel strong and happy and confident in my skin- so it means a lot but I also don't let it run my life."
How tall are you and how much do you weigh at the moment?
"I'm 5'2 and I currently weigh 124. But I honestly only check my weight for accountability because other people ask. I don't really care. I don't track much on season but the lowest I ever saw was 119."
How much time do you use on fitness?
"About an hour everyday if I'm being consistent. If I'm prepping for a show, 2 hours a day in the gym and then time to practice posing."
Do you have an idol - if yes; who?
"Not so much an idol, but I'm pretty inspired by my coach, hence why I've chosen and turned to him to help me! Look upto him massively with what he's achieved and hopefully I can do the same one day!"
Of all the things you have accomplished, during your 'fitness life' - what are you proud of the most?
"Learning to love myself."
