For how many years have you been working out and why?
"For approximately 12 years. I started to work out at the age of 17, because I wanted to lose some weight and get in shape. Then I gradually became more and more fascinated by the human body; Why us, how to develope it, how to maximise it's potential and keep on building muscle mass and burning bodyfat. The whole imagination about the perfect aesthetic body became a quest for me. Today I still strive to increase my knowledge and to improve my workouts even more but also to share my knowledge/experience and help others."
Which kind of workout do you practice?
"Bodybuilding/fitness/strength training. Right now I pratice a 3-split program"
What’s your favorite workout and why?
"Definitely a back workout. I favor this workout because of all the muslce groups in the back region. I love the feeling when I'm able to get a good connection to the muscles, and especially train the deep fibers of the upper back."
What’s the worst workout and why?
"That would be a leg workout. Even though I love to train my legs, and really appreciate some well-developed quads, it is still my worst enemy because I'm able to push myself so far every leg-day that I always end up feeling sick during the workout."
Which body part are you proud of the most and why?
"My quadriceps or rectus abdominis. My quads because they have a very good and well-developed vastus lateralis/medialis and at the same time are very lean. My rectus abdominis because it's finally solid and lean."
Which body part are you not satisfied with and why?
"My calfs. I have some genetic trouble making my gastrocnemius muscles grow."
Have you ever competed and what position did you get? Would you do it (again)?
"No, not yet. Some day I definitely will."
What kind of diet plan are you on and for how many weeks?
"I'm constantly carb cycling. My body fat percentage decides the cycles."
What kind of diet plan are you on?
"I'm on the competition prep for 9 weeks now."
Are you taking any supplements?
"Vitamins, Omega 3,6 and 9, extra A, B(6 and 12), C and D vitamin, n-acetylcysteine, Selenium, whey protein (concentrate and isolate), casein protien, pre-workout formulas, BCAA, creatine, beta-alanine, l-glutamine, l-arginine, taurine, l-carnitine, HMB, ALA, EAA"
Are there any favorite products? Tights, shakers, bars or so?
"No. When it comes to supplements, protein bars, etc. I only go for what my body needs (nutrition, etc) and the price. What brand it is or how good it tastes doesn't matter to me as long as the quality and price is good. When it comes to gym-wear I buy the stuff where you get the most for your money. Again, appearance and such is not relevant for me."
Where do you work out and why?
"I work out in a fitness association called VendiaFitness because I have an buisness agreement with them and my own firm Novus Performance."
When are you satisfied? Or will you ever be?
"Now and never. But that is not the goal. 'Satisfaction' is a misunderstood concept in this field according to me. I started to work out to reach a goal and then I reached my goal. But then I wanted more... The strive and lust to further develope - it's human nature. So the whole 'are you never satisfied?' or 'will you ever be satisfied?' question should be replaced with 'do you enjoy your lifestyle?', and if the answer is yes then person most likely is 'satisfied' but still strive to become even better."
How much does your workout mean for you and why?
"Everything. Even though my workouts can be really tough, I still enjoy every minute in the gym. It's like therapy for me. I love to feel the pump and contact to my muscles. And the thought that I keep developing my body every time i work out makes me want to do this even more. It's self-enhancing."
How tall are you and how much do you weigh at the moment?
"My height is 178 cm and my current weight is 92 kg."
How much time do you use on fitness?
"60-120 min, 5-7 times a week."
Of all the things you have accomplished, during your 'fitness life' - what are you proud of the most?
"My current shape."
