For how many years have you been working out and why?
“On and off since I was 16. I started working out regularly at age 22.”
Which kind of workout do you practice?
What’s your favorite workout and why?
“Glutes and shoulders. Glutes because it’s hard and shoulders because they are my weak points.”
What’s the worst workout and why?
“Arms. Because it’s a boring workout.”
Which body part are you proud of the most and why?
“My back. I’ve been riding horses since I was 3 years old, so I have a strong back and easily put on muscle there.”
Which body part are you not satisfied with and why?
“My shoulders aren’t round and big enough and neither are my glutes. I don’t think I’ll ever be satisfied with them.”
Have you ever competed and what position did you get? Would you do it (again)?
“Yes, I compete in bikini fitness. I competed for the first time in 2013 at the Newcomers in Denmark, where I got eliminated. That really got to me and actually I didn’t feel like competing ever again. However I knew that I had been slacking with both my diet and training, so I knew that I could do better. Therefore I tried again in 2014, where I came on stage with a much better package. Actually I was 4 kg. lighter but my butt couldn’t fit my bikini ;) For some reason I only placed 11th and I still don’t understand why to this day. Then I competed again in 2016 and finally made it to the finals.”
How did it feel like on stage?
“Well, it feels great completing all that that work and show everybody, what you have been working so hard for. But actually I can’t really remember that much from the stage. The time always flies by and I just try to do my best up there. I tend to get a bit too nervous, so I’m working on that.”
Are you getting any help with your workout or dietplans?
“For my competitions I was coached by Lonnie Boe Pedersen (IG: lbpfitness). She was among the first to coach bikini athletes in Denmark and lived nearby me. She is constantly educating herself and obviously know about my body, since we have worked together for that many years. Also we ‘clicked’ and our mentality matched each other, so I stayed with her.”
What kind of diet plan are you on and for how many weeks?
“I don’t really diet off season. I just make sure to eat enough protein. When cutting I don’t follow a certain diet, I just make that my macros fit and that I am in calorie deficit.”
Are you taking any supplements?
“Yes. Multivitamin, Omega 3, vitamin D3, magnesium and creatine.”
Do you have any favorite products? Workout clothes, shakers, protein bars or so? Why and where do you buy them?
“When it comes to workout clothes, I love Nike. And actually also H&M; they have some pretty cool stuff. I also love protein bars from Nutramino.”
Where do you work out and why?
“In various ‘Fitness World’. They have the necessary equipment and are always open.”
When are you satisfied? Or will you ever be?
“I don’t think I’ll ever be 100% satisfied.”
How much does your workout mean for you and why?
“I love working out! For me it’s meditation and I especially love working out, if anything else in my life isn’t going right. It may sound like a cliché, but to me it’s therapy and I would still work out even if it didn’t bring me any physical benefits.”
How tall are you and how much do you weigh at the moment?
“I’m 176 cm. tall. I weighed 65 kg. at my last competition and I guess I weigh 10-15 kg. more now.”
How much time do you use on fitness?
“Right now I spend approximately 8 hours a week.”
Do you have an idol - if yes; who?
"Growing up around fighting my idol was always Mike Tyson but now I don't really have an idol I just strive to be the best I can be."
Of all the things you have accomplished, during your 'fitness life' - what are you proud of the most?
“The transformation I made from 2013 to 2014. I learned to work hard in the gym and the shape was so much better at stage!”
